Dylan in Mostra a Caldogno.

Privateer Press

Last summer I had the opportunity to work with Chris Walton, a great art director from Privateer Press ™ and I was asked to do a couple of illustrations for Privateer.
I knew it would have been a little challenge, since I wasn't used to draw kind of subjects like giant robots and so on.
But I really had a great time doing that and I hope to have the opportunity to do some new work again.
Thanks, Privateer Press!

The Joker

After my little tribute to Captain America, I decided to celebrate one of my favourite villain ever.
I've always thought that The Joker's personality was more intriguing and complicated than Batman's.
There's a sense of wonder and confusion when I look at Joker.
He's a fool, ambiguous and smart son of a bitch.
Sometimes you find yourself supporting the evil character, rather than the hero, especially when this one behaves in a way you can often predict: and this is boring.
What would Batman be like, without The Joker?

I've tried to catch the reader's eye only showing his expression, missing one of his peculiar attribute: his mouth.

...I always have fun, drawing this kind of subjects.
Can it be suitable for Magic Cards?
Mmm...

Wizards of The Coast: Neverwinter™ Campaign Setting

Interior artwork for Neverwinter™Campaign Setting.
I really had good time, drawing this character.

Absoluteblack Cover

I must thank the guys from Absoluteblack, who made this possible.
This is a cover I did for an upcoming anthology about... zombies, what else? :)
It will be presented at Lucca's Show, this fall.
I had a lot of fun, since I LOVE painting horror and weird subjects.
I hope this can be pretty scary, btw.
Thank you again, for this opportunity!

From time to time...

... when you're not meeting tough deadlines, there's the possibility to develop something that lays in your mind.
It's just a hint that takes shape from random sketches 'till the final result.
I did these two pieces in my sparetime: the bad side is that I was able to come back on them few time in a long period, so every time I added a little piece of the illustration and since my style was improving, I found them not suitable for what I had in mind.
The bright side is that I met a gentleman and a great artist who pushed me to complete my work: thank so much to Todd Lockwood who inspired me a lot and made my work more functional and enjoyable with his precious advices.
